Mushroom Swiss Burger

  • Author: Patricia

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 brioche buns
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayonnaise, mustard, bacon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Patties: In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each.
  2. Sauté the Mushrooms: In a skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and onions, cooking until golden brown and tender. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Cook the Patties: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. Melt the Cheese: In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty. Cover the pan or close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
  5. Assemble the Burgers: Toast the brioche buns. Place the cooked patties on the buns, topping with sautéed mushrooms and onions. Add any additional toppings as desired.
  6. Serve: Enjoy immediately with your favorite sides.
