Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sausage meat
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 sheets of store-bought puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Season the Sausage: In a bowl, combine the sausage meat with thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the spices.
- Prepare the Pastry: Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into six equal squares or rectangles.
- Assemble the Rolls: Divide the seasoned sausage meat among the pastry squares, placing a small amount in the center of each. Roll the pastry around the sausage meat and seal the edges.
- Apply Egg Wash: Brush the top of each sausage roll with the beaten egg to ensure a golden finish.
- Bake: Place the sausage rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
- Serve: Allow the sausage rolls to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature with your choice of dipping sauce.
