Easy Chocolate Overnight Oats Recipe

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (or milk alternative)
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the oats, milk, cocoa powder, chia seeds, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  2. Sweeten to taste with honey or maple syrup.
  3. Divide the mixture into two airtight containers or jars.
  4. Refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours.
  5. Before serving, stir well and top with additional fresh fruit, nuts, or a sprinkle of chocolate shavings if desired.
