- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with the sour cream, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Stir just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and ground cinnamon into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
