  • Author: Patricia

Ingredients

Scale

For the Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet instant yeast (about 2 ¼ tsp)
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

For the Filling

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • ½ cup diced tomato, patted dry
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface until smooth. Let rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Cook Beef: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper. Drain and set aside.
  3. Assemble Rolls: Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the cooked beef, bacon, onion, tomato, and cheese evenly over the dough. Roll up tightly and slice into 12 pieces.
  4. Bake: Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Serve: Allow to cool slightly before serving. Serve with your favorite burger condiments.
